Disability Access Policy
< Back to policies & procedures
If you have any additional needs please let our staff know so that we can help you, and also ensure you get the same support in the future.
Disabled Access
Our health centre has suitable access for disabled patients, and all the patient areas including waiting room, consulting rooms and toilets have wheelchair access. Portable hearing loops are available for use in consulting rooms – please ask at care navigation.
Designated disabled parking bays are located at the back of the building. Patients who use these bays gain access to the building via the back door. This means patients do not have to walk round to the front of the building.
We have a disabled toilet and baby change facilities.
Disabled Parking – Blue Badge Scheme
The Blue Badge Scheme is for people with severe mobility problems. It allows Blue Badge holders to park close to where they need to go.
For more information and an Application Form visit your local council office.
Loop System
There is a Hearing Loop in reception for use by people with hearing aids and the building has been designed and decorated to make it easier for people with visual problems. For more information on the loop hearing system visit the Hearing Link website.
Blind/Partially Sighted
If you or your family members are blind or partially sighted we can give you a CD or large print of our Practice leaflet upon request. Please ask our staff for further information.

Guide Dogs
Guide dogs are welcome at the Practice but we ask that you be aware of other patients and staff who may have an allergy or fear of dogs.
